Female Infertility Treatment In Bangalore

Nurturing parenthood from decades

Female infertility accounts to almost one-third of all infertility cases. The great news is that there are many fertility treatments available to increase the chances of getting pregnant in spite of the issues. Female Fertility Age also needs to be considered, while you plan to conceive.

In vitro Fertilization (IVF), the ‘test-tube baby’ is one of the most effective treatments that has helped millions of people to get pregnant in the last three decades.

IVF procedure was originally developed to treat tubal factor infertility caused by natural defect or infection. Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes prevent the sperm from reaching the egg or impede the descent of the fertilized egg into the uterus.

In IVF, the eggs and sperms are mixed in a laboratory dish manually for fertilization and later the embryo is placed directly into the uterus. Thus, IVF helps to by-pass the fallopian tube damage.

Hormonal disorder – Imbalance in the levels of sex hormones causes Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Hormonal imbalance leads to irregular menstrual cycles which eventually affects ovulation.

Intrauterine stimulation (IUI) is the preferred treatment, because ovarian stimulation in IVF treatment may increase the risk of Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).

Endometriosis is a condition in which the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, including ovaries, fallopian tubes, etc. Endometriosis can cause infertility, but treatments are available to increase the possibility of pregnancy.

Female fertility declines with advancing age. Studies show that fertility starts to fall off gradually after the age of 35 and in a steep decline at the age of 40. Women who delay the first pregnancy until they have established their career are often at the expense of their natural conception.

The age-related infertility is because the ovarian reserve (the number and quality of the eggs) declines with age. Ovarian reserve tests help to evaluate the fertility and AMH or antral follicle count helps to assess the remaining fertility.

The genetic quality of the egg declines drastically with age and causes chromosomal disorders and less viable embryos.
